AdvaTab^® Diphenhydramine HCl ODT

Eurand uses their proprietary AdvaTab^®
technology to create a convenient,
easy-to-swallow orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) formulation of this popular insomnia treatment. Diphenhydramine HCl is also a commonly prescribed anti-histamine.

Commercialized in the U.S. as Unisom^® SleepMelts^™ by Chattem, Inc., Eurand’s Diphenhydramine HCl ODT formulation may be taken as needed, with or without water. This product complies with the USP Monograph.

Eurand’s AdvaTab^® technology produces an ODT with the following key properties: pleasant taste, smooth mouthfeel, and disintegration in less than 30 seconds. This is due to our proprietary microencapsulation technique that ensures a uniform and complete taste-masking for a superior-tasting ODT.

Eurand Announces Launch of OTC Unisom® SleepMelts by Chattem Milan and Dayton – April 29, 2008 – Eurand announced today that Chattem, Inc. has launched a new orally disintegrating tablet (“ODT”) formulation of its popular over-the-counter (OTC) sleep-aid brand, Unisom®. Unisom® SleepMelts™, which contains 25mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride, was developed by Eurand using its AdvaTab® and Microcaps® taste-masking technologies.
