AdvaTab® is a premiere orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) technology that offers a tablet dosage form with leading edge capabilities and unique advantages.

AdvaTab tablets disintegrate rapidly in the mouth, typically in less than 30 seconds, to allow for convenient oral drug administration without water. These tablets are especially suited to those patients that experience difficulty in swallowing capsules and tablets.

AdvaTab Production

The proprietary production method used to make AdvaTab products provides product features that further enhance its performance.  Traditional tablets are produced using an internal lubrication system in which lubricant is incorporated throughtout the tablet blend, its primary purpose to act as a lubricant between the tablet surface and the metal surfaces of the tablet press. The internal lubricant makes the tablet hydrophobic and necessitates the use of higher tablet compression forces for a given tablet hardness. 

AdvaTab tablets are compressed using a patented external lubrication system in which the lubricant is only applied to the tablet surface. As a result, the tablets are hard and durable, do not require high tablet compression forces during manufacturing and do not repel liquids such as saliva when ingested. Consequently, AdvaTab tablets are robust, disintegrate rapidly in the oral cavity and the tablet compression step does not lead to breakage of the drug particles.
