Manufacturing
We have extensive manufacturing capabilities located in the United States and Europe. Since our founding, manufacturing has been a core element of our strategy. We manufacture all of the products that we develop for ourselves and our licencees.
Our manufacturing processes and units are integrated with our R&D facilities thereby facilitating the scale-up and manufacturing process for products in development. Shared facilities, processes and development teams enhance this strategy.
Our processing technologies and capabilities include granulation, coacervation, fluid-bed processes, pan coating, blending, tableting (standard, minitablet, orally disintegrating tablets) and encapsulation. Additionally, one of our facilities in the US and one in Italy are approved to process controlled substances. These facilities also have extensive organic solvent processing and handling capabilities.
Our manufacturing sites are regularly inspected by national regulatory agencies and our licencees. Our facilities in Europe supply products to the United States, South America, Europe, Japan, other Asian markets and the Middle East. Our facility in the United States supplies products to North American, South American and European markets. We also offer specific contract manufacturing services for products that we have not developed ourselves.
